All About Garwood Class

We are lucky to have a wonderful new classroom in which to play and learn. We have lots of fun both inside and outside and regularly lead our own learning. We choose when to have our morning snack and we enjoy helping to prepare it. We wear wellies and waterproofs outside and love walking across our field to OWLS (Outdoor Woodland Learning School).

Harvest Festival

Every Autumn, the whole school comes together to celebrate Harvest Festival. This is such an important time of year for our country village. Each class gave their own presentation and we reflected on the meaning of harvest around the world.

Tree Planting

As part of our work on sustainability, our Year 5 and 6 pupils were delighted to be invited to plant 60 trees in the grounds of St Mary the Virgin church. The Bawden Rooms

Huge thanks to Claire Willets for opening the Bawden Rooms in the village so that our Leprechaun and Phoenix Class pupils could deepen their historical knowledge of the village of Great Bardfield. They really enjoyed learning more about the Bardfield Artists.

The Quaker Meeting House

As part of our study of the history of Great Bardfield our Year 5 and 6 Phoenix Class pupils visited the Quaker Meeting House in the village.
