Dear Parents and Carers,

I am delighted to be writing to you as the new Headteacher of Great Bardfield Primary School.

I feel extremely honoured and privileged to be taking on my new role and fully intend to continue to build upon the success the school has already achieved under the leadership of Mrs Kerrell. Within the school, we have a hugely committed team of staff and the most incredible children, which of course, is a great place for any new head to start!

This will be my twenty-fourth year at Great Bardfield Primary School. I have held many different roles within the school, Deputy Headteacher being my most recent, and my own two children have been pupils at the school. I have even had the pleasure of teaching some of the parents within our school community. Our wonderful school, and village, hold a very special place in my heart.

During her headship, Mrs Kerrell worked tirelessly to make this school and its community the very best it can be. Rest assured, I will be continuing her strive for excellence and many of the expectations, traditions and events that are part of our school will continue. As with any new leadership, there will be some changes to come but you can be confident that I will always have the best interests of your children at the forefront of my intentions.

It is the responsibility of my staff and I to ensure that the highest standard of teaching and learning is achieved for all pupils at Great Bardfield Primary School. It is the responsibility of you as parents to support us in accomplishing this for your child.  In the near future we will be inviting parents into school for assemblies, coffee mornings and to share our learning.  I look forward to working with you in partnership to secure the very best outcomes for your children.

Kind regards,

Mrs Elizabeth Crow
